This series will be a hit! It was recently released on Netflix. The series depicts Queen Elizabeth II’s life since 1947, when she married. This was the first radio broadcast of a royal wedding. The series begins with Elizabeth as a young bride and focuses on the remarkable life of Queen Elizabeth II, who has been in power for more than half a century.
2. “Elizabeth: The Golden Age”
It’s a great movie! Although she is being forced to marry by her advisors. She insists on doing it on her terms. She is unsure of what she should do as England’s reigning monarch. However, she falls for Sir Walter Raleigh (Clive Owen) and that’s just the beginning.
3. “Shakespeare in Love”
It’s a great film. This 1998 film won Best Picture and six additional Academy Awards. We promise you will be gushing and swooning the entire time.

4. ‘Vanity Fair’
It’s a great movie. Becky (Reese Witherspoon), who leaves behind her poverty to go to boarding school and become a governess, finds herself caught up in the dramas of 19th-century British society. Mira Nair’s film, Monsoon Wedding, was written by Julian Fellowes of Downton Abbey. It is beautiful shot and captures the emotions of navigating romance and love in a new environment.
5. “The Princess Bride”
It’s why you’ll love: Buttercup Wright, who is chosen to be the “princess Bride” of Prince Humperdinck (icky), is captured by a group of thieves on her wedding night. After being rescued by Prince Humperdinck, her true love, the two embark on an adventure that will last forever. It’s based on the classic novel of the same title and is a funny, classic, feel-good movie that you will be quoting for years to come.

6. ‘Cleopatra’
It’s a great book! This Egyptian queen was a true star: She not only ruled Egypt as Pharaoh, but she also had some very cute suitors in general Marc Antony (Burton), and Julius Caesar(Harrison).
7. “Coming to America”
It’s a film you will love. Let’s face it, we love Eddie Murphy in all he does. But this film is seriously underrated and might be the best (wedding) movie ever made. Murphy plays Prince Akeem, an African Prince who is transported to Queens by a woman who values him for his true self and not for his wealth or status. Enjoy a glimpse of Cuba Gooding Jr.’s first film, “Boy Getting Haircut”, and a dance-scene that Paula Abdul choreographed.

8. ‘Diana’
This is why you will love it: Based upon the book Diana: Her last love by Kate Snell this biographical drama follows Princess Diana’s final two years as she falls for Pakistani surgeon Hasnat Khan. This romantic take on Princess Di’s final years will be a hit with those who love her.
